It was a pleasure to be invited to Ramallah, Palestine to deliver a customised five-day programme on product launch marketing and management for Wataniya Mobile, part of Qatari telecoms firm Ooredoo. Delegates spanned product, technology, communications and customer services. This gave the group more of a strategic and rounded feel than most  we deliver.

This is what some of the participants had to say:

Mr. Fadi Rezqallah, Corporate Proposition & Wholesale Senior Manager:

“The perfect course. Really interesting.”

Ms. Amal Khatib, Senior Specialist – CEO Office:

“This training covered a broad range of topics, all of which will be beneficial to our company. It’s also helped me think about methods of segmenting customers in ways beyond their telecoms behaviour, which is very useful.”

Mr. Ahmad Abu Arquob, Consumer Proposition Senior Specialist:

“It was an excellent experience where I learned new skills and gained amazing knowledge.”

Mr. Ahmad Barbar, Data and Value-Added Services Senior Specialist:

“Great course where I acquired useful knowledge for creating products.”

Reflecting on the programme, Wavelength’s Darren Coleman notes:

“As a challenger brand operating in a unique market, Wataniya Mobile have to think very carefully about the products they take to market and the experiences they wrap around those products. It was a fascinating week and I was delighted to see how their approach to product and broader proposition marketing changed as the week progressed. They worked incredibly hard and deserved their cigarette breaks!

On the final day the groups delivered presentations to the CEO and executive team. The goal was to demonstrate how the knowledge they had acquired could be applied to a specific challenge the CMO set. From a trainer’s perspective this can be a little nerve-racking in case things go wrong! I’m delighted to say all of the groups delivered impressive presentations that demonstrated a more holistic approach to product was taking root. This is exactly what the executive team wanted to see.”
