Things Get Tasty at Citrus Saturday, University College London

By Wavelength Marketing9th February 2012November 15th, 2016News

Wavelength was invited to deliver a “Understanding your Customer” workshop for a group of particularly enterprising students at University College London. The workshop was part of UCL Advances Citrus Saturday programme with students studying across the capital attending.

Students from a range of disciplines were tasked with the idea of developing and then taking a concept to market (literally) that had a citrus theme.  Not easy.

Our session focused on Understanding your Customer.  This is something many organisations, both large and small think they do.  The reality is frequently quite different.

Luka Blackman-Gibbs, Manager at NACUE Create, who was responsible for organising the event notes:

“Wavelength’s workshop was absolutely fantastic – it was well thought out and extremely well delivered.  It was perfect for our audience which was made up of both academic and creative and all highly intelligent students – a tough crowd to crack!  Complicated concepts were delivered in a practical, accessible, engaging and interesting way that got the groups moving, talking, challenging themselves – all whilst totally fitting in with the wider agenda for our weekend.  It’s not often that experts are so down to earth but the trainer was fantastic with the students, staying behind to answer their questions, going above and beyond his call of duty.”

Darren Coleman, delivered the session on behalf and Wavelength notes:

“I’m full of admiration for the Citrus Saturday attendees.  Not only did they give up their weekends to attend the sessions, but they were also fully committed to their ideas and more importantly their teams.  It was interesting to watch the competitive element develop as the day progressed.  Some very interesting ideas were starting to emerge through the session.  Some groups were clearly getting a taste for things.”

Why not learn more about Citrus Saturday and the enterprising work of UCL Advances? Great programme.
