Wavelength Wins BrandLab Contract with Lithuanian Government

By Wavelength Marketing17th April 2014November 15th, 2016News

We were delighted to be awarded a contract by the Lithuanian Government to deliver their “Brandlab” programme. This project will be overseen by the government’s business agency, Enterprise Lithuania and this is the first time the BrandLab project has been run.

BrandLab will run over the next few months and entails guiding a number of Lithuanian companies through an intensive brand related mentoring and consultancy programme.  You can read more about BrandLab in the Lithuanian business press, „Verslo Zinios“ („Business News”) or from Enterprise Lithuania’s website.  Both pages translaste after a few seconds.

Enterprise Lithuania supports the establishment and development of competitive businesses in Lithuania and fosters the country’s exports via training, consultancy, market analysis and business-partner search services.

Wavelength’s involvement over the next few months will entail:

·                Identifying and recruiting a select number of suitable companies for a two day BrandLab Masterclass

·                Delivering two BrandLab Masterclasses that take a small number of companies through the strategic brand plan creation process

·                Advising and supporting the selected companies over the summer whilst they develop their brand plans

·                Reviewing the companies’ brand plans once they have been submitted

·                Holding individual consultations with each company where feedback and specific advice will be provided

·                Selecting 20 companies for the subsequent BrandLab ‘Production’ phase which entails a broad range of brand activation work

Justinas Uba, Communication Project Manager at Enterprise Lithuania outlines:

“Export plays a crucial role in the development of trade and enterprise in Lithuania. At Enterprise Lithuania we’re very keen to improve is Lithuanian companies understanding of brand and how to use brands as an asset to facilitate export led growth. It’s hard for companies to find meaningful sources of differentiation in physical features. This is why we’re increasingly looking to brands and the intangible value they deliver to help Lithuanian companies grow.  We’re delighted to be working with Dr. Coleman from Wavelength Marketing given the extensive brand marketing knowledge and experience he has.”

Commenting on BrandLab, Wavelength’s Darren Coleman notes:

“We’re flattered the Lithuanian government has invited us to help with the BrandLab Project. It’s a very innovative branding programme.  We’re delighted to be involved.  From the outset Enterprise Lithuania have been very focused in terms of what they want the programme to deliver.  They want to identify high growth potential companies and equip them with advanced branding knowledge so they can thrive in domestic and international markets.

It’s going to be very interesting to meet such a broad range of companies over the coming months.  The influence of the communist era on the companies’ culture and attitude towards risk will be interesting to observe.  I worked in the Czech Republic after the fall of communism and peoples’ attitudes tended to polarise in terms of embracing capitalism and a more innovative mindset or not.”

We’ll be sharing updates as the project progresses via our “Lithuania Letters”. Stay tuned.
