The event was a partnership between Innovation Agency Lithuania, the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the United Kingdom and the West Midlands Growth Company. As an Embassy we always aim to present Lithuanian companies with a trade and cooperation opportunities in the UK. Having Darren as an Honorary Consul of Lithuania in the city of Birmingham as well as a true professional in branding makes Embassy’s work much easier.
Darren’s presentation “Building your brand for the UK market: Practical advice & insights ” was very engaging and full of practical details. Representatives from Lithuanian SME`s found it very useful – it helped to complete their knowledge about the UK market with a special focus on the West Midlands region.

It’s an exciting exiting and opportune time to be running – or thinking about running – a business based in Birmingham and indeed the West Midlands region. The growth and change in the region is quite phenomenal. You only need to scan the city skyline and the number of tower cranes say it all.
As a proud ‘brummie’ it was my absolute pleasure to talk about Birmingham with two other passions in my life – branding and Lithuania. My talk aimed to generate interest in Birmingham and the West Midlands region for Lithuanian companies. I’m delighted to say some Lithuanian companies have already been in touch expressing an interest in entering the UK market via Birmingham or expanding their market beyond London to Birmingham and the West Midlands region.
